The Offseason...

The season is over and things are getting... weird. Crazy. Rumors are flying. Now that the season is over, we have incoming Borowski from Werder Bremen. Jan Schlaudraff is on his way out. Yesterday Bayern's second string took on Indonesia and won 5-1. Jan is going out in style with another 3 goals scored while Breno Borges and Toni Kroos each scored one.

The latest news: Kolkata police will be sporting the Bayern Munich logo. Bayern has authorized Kolkata Police to use their logo to popularize street football in the city. On May 28, the 2008 tournament will take place at Bodyguard lines in south Kolkata and will be inagurated by Oliver Kahn.

Lukas Podolski has said that he's not making a decision about his future until after the Euro's. For now, he wants to concentrate on those and he will decide his future after that. He's said that he had a "positive" talk with Jurgen Klinsmann and he knows what direction he wants to take the team in, but that he will wait awhile for his decision.

Michael Rensing will step up into the number one spot for Goalkeeper next season so the search is on for a back up keeper. The current name being dropped is Hans-Jörg Butt. He currently has a contract with Benfica, but his agent has said they aren't ruling anything out.

Latest transfer rumor is that Juventis is looking to pick up Bastian Schweinsteiger. Speaking of transfers, Gattuso has closed the doors on the speculation that he may come to Bayern. He has publicly admitted that while he had some problems with his club, he will close out his career with AC Milan. He doesn't look to play much longer and is happy to play there for the remainder.

And while Luca Toni says he will stay with Bayern and is very pleased with his debut season, Marco Amelia would gladly join Toni at Bayern too.

"There is a very good chance that I will leave Livorno this summer," said Amelia.
"I don't think the club will be relying on me in Serie B but for now all I am thinking about is the national team.
"Me and Toni at Bayern Munich? I wish, if they call me I will run there."
