Bayern return to training and Uli Hoeneß is pissed...

Bayern returned to training yesterday, but they were missing Marcell Jansen (rehab after surgery), Franck Ribery, Daniel van Buyten and Lukas Podolski due to the flu. Franck, Daniel and Lukas are all expected to train today though.

"I’ve heard they all reported back punctually," Uli Hoeneß told the daily news conference afterwards. "That was certainly a positive sign," added Hitzfeld, declaring himself "utterly delighted at returning to the Säbener Strasse and seeing the team and the board again."

And, Uli Hoeneß is pretty pissed at Stuttgart right now.

Bayern manager Uli Hoeneß has hit out at his Stuttgart counterpart Horst Heldt for trying to unsettle striker Lukas Podolski.
Hoeneß Criticises Stuttgart

He has reacted angrily to what he perceives as open courting of their player.

"It’s not right to flirt with a player in this way, who still has a two-and-a-half year contract with his club" Hoeneß said.

"I don’t know how Stuttgart would react if we said that we were interested in Mario Gomez."

The Bayern manager, who is never one to avoid a confrontation, asked the Swabians to "follow proper etiquette in future."

Maybe they won't be letting go of Lukas just yet.
