King Kahn gets a suspension

Kahn receives suspension from Hitzfeld
Oliver Kahn received a one game suspension from Bayern Bossman, Ottmar Hitzfeld. Neither side is talking about the suspension, but it has been expressed as "disciplinary action." Evidently, Kahn left the Chirstmas party early and Hitzfeld and Bayern President Franz Beckenbauer have expressed their discontent for this situation.

"It's a time that brings the team together," Beckenbauer said on German television. "He's the captain and he just gets up and leave early."

Media reports suggest that it might be something else, but people are keeping tight lipped at the moment.

Defender Philipp Lahm declined to say what led to Kahn's suspension.
"It's something that happened in the locker room and I am not going to make it public," he said.

This will give young Mr. Rensing another shot in goal for Bayern on Sunday in their closing match against Hertha Berlin before winter break.
