Robert Lewandowski did not make the trip with the rest of Bayern Munich to Darmstadt for Saturday's match, according to a report from Sport1. Bayern flew out of Munich on Friday, and all other injury-free players made the trip.
Lewandowski picked up a minor knock against Olympiacos midweek in the UEFA Champions League. He was the first player subbed off by Pep Guardiola during the match. Kingsley Coman played the last thirty minutes of that match, picking up an assist and drawing a penalty.
One would expect Bayern to rest a few players against Darmstadt with a match against Wolfsburg in just a few days, so some rotation was expected anyway.
There is good news for Bayern. Thiago Alcantara and Xabi Alonso were both healthy enough to make the trip.
