After 16 years as a professional footballer, Pepe Reina finally has another goal to check off of his list. For the first time in his career, Reina is a league champion. Did he do it Spain? Nope. England? Nope. Italy? Nope.
Reina wore the red of Liverpool for eight seasons but, like every other player for the past twenty five seasons, he was unable to lift the English Premier League trophy. Finally, Reina will lift the Meisterschale at the end of the season with FC Bayern. He's a league champion.
While featuring for Barcelona, Villarreal, Liverpool, and Napoli, Reina has never reached the precipice of lifting a league championship trophy with his teammates. That's not to say that Reina hasn't been close to winning a league championship. He finished fourth with Barcelona, third with Villarreal, as high as second with Liverpool, and third with Napoli.
Perhaps not the most meritorious for me but my 1st one and I'm delighted for being Bundesliga Champions!!Thanks boys! pic.twitter.com/PCPqAZFcH5

I will disagree with Pepe on the "not the most meritorious" comment here. You have two clean sheets in the league this season, Mr. Reina!
Congrats, Pepe! Now, you have a Pokal and a Champions League to win, too!
