Still questions remain, as two set pieces leave Bayern center-backs looking at each other in dismay.

FC Bayern avenged the season's only league loss, beating Bayer Leverkusen by the same 2-1 score-line. Bayern needed a bit of luck, and there were some strange twists towards the end, but we picked up our 22d win in 26 chances.

Boateng's Late Goal Keys 3-2 Bayern Win

FC Bayern Munich picked up another league win and brought their lead atop the Bundesliga standings to an astonishing 20 points today. But it was anything but easy, as Fortuna took advantage of some low-energy defending from Bayern to score twice and throw a real scare into the hosts. Several missed chances from Bayern kept it close, but Ribery and Boateng both scored in the last 20 minutes to give Bayern the win.

Bayern Starts Slow, Hangs On to Beat TSG

FC Bayern Munich picked up another road win on Sunday, despite a good fight from lowly TSG Hoffenheim. Bayern controlled possession and passed the ball well, but Hoffenheim played a valiant game and nearly scored on a few occasions. At the end of the day, though, it was another victory for Die Roten, who have gone over 4 months since tasting defeat.

Ten-Men Bremen Hammered by Bayern

FC Bayern Munich demolished Werder Bremen today, 6-1, with several players who had been relegated to the bench finally getting a chance to shine. Bayern was already ahead 2-0 when Werder's Sebastian Proedl was sent off late in the first half. From that point on, the outcome was never in doubt, as Ribery and Arjen Robben led the charge for Bayern.

Bayern Shreds Mainz Behind Mandzukic and Kroos

FC Bayern Munich went on the road to pick up an emphatic win today, beating FSV Mainz by a 3-0 score-line. Thomas Müller scored late in the first half after a sharp pass from Toni Kroos, and Mario Mandzukic added a second-half brace. Mario Gomez, Arjen Robben and Luiz Gustavo came on for the final 15 minutes, but the outcome was already beyond any doubt at this point.

In the Bundesliga's last match of the weekend, FC Bayern knocked off VfB Stuttgart to extend the lead atop the table. Mario Mandzukic fired home after rounding Stuttgart 'keeper Sven Ulreich to give Bayern the lead. Die Roten picked up another when Mandzu found Mueller after a long run, and held on for a comfortable win.

FC Bayern got the second half off to a good start, completely controlling the game and picking up 3 points with a home win over SpVgg Greuther Fürth. A few missed chances kept the score-line from being a joke, but Bayern was in charge from the first whistle.

FC Bayern finished the first half of the season in first place, picking up a point at home vs. Borussia Monchengladbach. It was a somewhat disappointing performance, as Bayern had several chances to win and couldn't find a way past 'Gladbach GK Marc-Andre ter Stegen. But Bayern fans will be mostly satisfied with the way the club played (minus a few hiccups in finishing), as Die Roten dominated possession and were clearly the better side.

FC Bayern Munich picked up a road win and extended the lead atop the Bundesliga table today, despite a hard-fighting performance from an energetic opponent. Augsburg's midfield and forwards did enough to worry Bayern and keep it interesting. But Bayern proved too deep, too dangerous, and too good.

Bayern and Dortmund Battle to Thrilling 1-1 Draw

On a cold day from Munich's Allianz Arena, German's record champions and Germany's defending champions fought to an exciting draw. Bayern's Toni Kroos broke the deadlock in the 67th minute with a sharp dodge-and-shoot move, but Dortmund's Mario Götze equalized a few minutes later after a poor corner-clearance. The result leaves Bayern well atop the Bundesliga table, but an injury to star CB Holger Badstuber, which appeared to be severe, will be considered a real dark spot.

On an inhospitable day in Freiburg, FC Bayern did enough to earn a win and to extend the lead atop the standings. But there were some frustrating moments for Bayern fans, as the club played with a man advantage for nearly an hour before breaking through. Ribery and Mario Gomez, in particular, seemed a little off in their timing and touch.

After a frustrating midweek match, FC Bayern Munich turned on the class for an emphatic home win over Hannover 96. The Allianz Arena fans went home happy, as Bayern cut through the H96 defense early and often. FC Bayern Munich and 1 FC Nürnberg fought to a 1-1 draw, with FCN holding on despite going down to 10 men for the final 15 minutes. Bayern fielded a strong but unusual line-up, and the absence of the club's usual dribbler / play-maker types was acutely felt, as Bayern couldn't find a way through.

Bayern Wins as Kroos and Müller Shred Hamburg

FC Bayern Munich put in their best performance of the season today, clobbering Hamburg 3-0. Despite the final score, Hamburg played decently for most of the match. Bayern just had too much firepower, as Schweinsteiger, Kroos, and Müller all found the net.

FC Bayern kept their perfect Bundesliga record alive today, comprehensively beating TSG Hoffenheim. An injury to Thomas Müller and a few missed opportunities kept it from being a perfect day, but Bayern still looked sharp in dominating the match.

Bayern Munich won a tight match in Bremen, beating Werder through two late goals. Gustavo had a nice long-range strike, and Xherdan Shaqiri came off the bench to set up Mario Mandzukic to kill off the match. Bayern sits alone at the top of the table.
