Welcome once again to the UEFA Champions League Knockout Rounds!

This round of 16 sees 16 candidates of varying quality and pedigree compete for the right to carry around a massive silver thing with big ears. From yesterdays clash of French vs Spanish and Italian vs Scottish (yeah), to today's clash of English vs Spanish (boo) and Ukrainian (Yeah) vs German ( DOUBLE YEAH!), it should be fraught with excitement and boredom, joy and tears, and yet more cliche juxtapositions.

As we as a community seem to discuss these things roundabouts 4 different articles, I thought I'd put up a single Champions League open thread, because I like to look back and see how we bashed other teams the previous day.
