Good evening, and welcome to our new home. If you arrived here from our old community site, the Bayern Offside, you already know the story. If you're new, this blog follows and analyzes FC Bayern Munich, the rightful kings of German football.
Our old page on The Offside was a great place to hang out, but there were some technical limitations. This new home will be better in several ways. Among them: members (that's you guys) can now create your own stories by choosing to create a FanPost or a FanShot. Once you register and log in, you'll see the option to do that on the right side of the screen. A FanShot is a quick posting of a link, picture, quote, or something else that might generate discussion. A FanPost is a more in-depth discussion of an event, player, or match, etc. - something you think warrants serious analysis.
Our e-mail address remains the same: email@example.com, and we're also going to leave our Twitter account as http://twitter.com/bayern_offside. Those still maintain the (now irrelevant) "Offside" name, but I thought it would be cool to retain some link to the past. Feel free to e-mail me for help navigating the new site, or if you just want to complain. Also, all of the old posts from The Offside are still here, along with everyone's comments (even the ones that got archived by the old comment-eating machine). So search through our past posts if there was anything someone said that you wanted to revisit.
Everything else will remain largely as it was: we will post previews of every match, have a Match Day Thread during the match itself, etc. We'll also follow transfer rumors, analyze tactics and formations, and sometimes look at events unfolding elsewhere in the Bundesliga. First up is our vital DFB Pokal match this week vs. Monchengladbach, and we should have the preview of that up today. So thanks for following us over to SB Nation, and check in with a comment if you're in the mood. If you had to change your name drastically from your old Offside handle, let us know who you are.
